About the founder
Larry Harper
is a dedicated minister, therapist, and musician with over 35 years of experience in ministry and nearly 30 years in counseling.
Larry Harper is a seasoned minister, counselor, and educator with a diverse and accomplished background. With nearly 40 years of experience in ministry, Larry is a licensed and ordained minister who has also served as a Minister of Music for nearly 35 years. His musical talents include being a skilled organist, keyboardist, and bassist. In addition to his ministry work, Larry has dedicated nearly 30 years to his profession as a therapist and counselor.
He is highly credentialed in the state of Georgia, holding certifications such as Certified Clinical Supervisor (NOTC), Pastoral Addiction Counselor, Certified Addiction Counselor II (NOTC), Certified Addiction Counselor I (NOTC), Certified Addiction Counselor - Training, and Certified Counselor in Training. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Theology.
Larry is also a Certified Personal Trainer and has a passion for coaching, with experience in football, basketball, and track and field.
In 1998, Larry founded New Beginnings Outreach Ministries, which he operated for nearly 20 years. In 2024, he founded Thrive and Grow Ministries INC, based in Atlanta, Georgia, continuing his commitment to spiritual growth and community outreach.
